Ark 2: Planned for Late 2024 Release

Snail Games CEO Jim Tsai has confirmed that Ark 2 is still planned for a release in late 2024.

During a speaking appearance at the NobleCon19 conference, Tsai described Ark 2 as Snail Games’ “next masterpiece”.

Tsai also discussed annual DLC plans through 2029, which are aimed to “fuel franchise growth”.

Ark 2 was first revealed back at The Game Awards 2020 with a release date of 2022. However, the game was delayed into 2023 and then again into 2024.

The game is being built in Unreal Engine 5, similar to the recently released Ark: Survival Ascended. It even includes the casting of Vin Diesel, who will not only star in the game but is listed as an Executive Producer.

When it releases, Ark 2 will be a console exclusive on Xbox Series X|S. It will also be available on Game Pass day one and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store. The game will feature cross-platform multiplayer as well as modding support.
