Microsoft’s Big Return to Gamescom 2025

Microsoft announced it will return to Gamescom 2025, running August 20 to 24 in Cologne, Germany. This year, the tech giant brings a strong lineup through its multiple game studios and partners.

Blizzard Entertainment plans to spotlight World of Warcraft’s eleventh expansion, called Midnight. Fans can look forward to five days packed with events, including Mythic Dungeon and Arena showcases, cosplay, and developer meet-and-greets. This comes after Blizzard skipped BlizzCon for two years in a row.

Bethesda is expected to reveal new content for its Indiana Jones game with the Great Circle expansion, The Order of the Giants, along with updates for Fallout 76 and Elder Scrolls Online. However, don’t expect major announcements like Elder Scrolls VI or Fallout 5 at this event.

Xbox Game Studios will join the show with trailers, developer talks, and Q&A sessions for upcoming games such as Grounded 2 and The Outer Worlds 2.

More details on Microsoft’s full Gamescom plans should be coming soon.
