Nintendo Insider has hinted at what’s next for Super Smash Bros.

The popular game franchise is celebrating its 25th anniversary next month, and Nintendo reportedly has plans to commemorate the occasion.

Despite the anticipation, updates suggest that a new game from the Super Smash Bros franchise won’t be released for quite some time.

According to popular leaker and insider Zippo, Nintendo is planning ‘announcements, celebrations, and events’ to mark the 25th anniversary of Super Smash Bros throughout the year.

Zippo’s suggestions for the celebrations include a Smash Bros. Concert Series, a Nintendo Switch Online Release of Smash 64, and potentially game remasters.

Smash Bros Ultimate, the best-selling fighting game of all time with over 32 million units sold, recently celebrated its 5th anniversary with new spirits added to the game.

While the exact plans for the 25th anniversary of Super Smash Bros are unknown, it’s a milestone that deserves attention. Fans are hopeful that the celebrations will fill the gap while waiting for any future game instalments.
