But now, people are excited about the new Asus ROG Ally X. Leaks suggest it’s going to be a major improvement. The Asus Ally X is said to be a super powerful handheld gaming device with lots of upgrades compared to the old one.

ROG Ally X Battery Life

One of the most exciting features of the Ally X is its battery life. According to the VideoCardz X post, the device’s battery is going from 40 Wh to 80 Wh. This means you can play games much longer without needing to plug it in.

ROG Ally X Storage and Additional Upgrades

The new handheld device has a better kind of storage called M.2 NVMe 2280, compared to the older version which had M.2 NVMe 2230. Plus, it has more storage space, going from 512GB to 1TB.

The Asus Ally X is also rumored to feature a second USB-C port with USB4 speeds, enhancing its docking capabilities and charging efficiency while playing with accessories.

The design has been refined as well, with a focus on improved ergonomics. The sequel device is said to have lost the sharp angles on the back, allowing for a more comfortable grip and reducing the likelihood of accidental button presses.

ROG Ally X Price and Release Date

The leaked information about the Asus Ally X doesn’t mention the price for sure. People are guessing it will stay the same at $799 USD, but we’ll know for sure in less than two weeks.

If Asus can maintain this price, the Ally X could compete with other high-end handheld gaming devices on features and flash, if not library and polish.

The rumors say the device will be revealed on June 2, 2024. Some leaks also say there will be an official announcement at the Computex show in Taiwan between June 4 and 7, 2024.
