Short Cinematic Shows Helicopter Insertion for Battlefield 6 Battle Royale

More leaks from Battlefield 6’s closed playtests have surfaced, and this time, they focus on the highly anticipated Battlefield 6 Battle Royale mode.

Shared by well-known Battlefield dataminer @temporyal, the leaked clip offers a quick look at the opening cinematic of a battle royale match. The footage was shared via X and can still be found if you’re fast enough to avoid takedown notices.

In the video, players can see a group of helicopters flying toward the battlefield, giving Warzone-like vibes with a military drop into a dangerous zone. Though it’s only a few seconds long, it hints at how matches begin in this upcoming free-to-play mode.

Map Set in California and Features a Destructive NXC Ring

According to @temporyal, the Battlefield 6 Battle Royale map is set in California. Players will be inserted into the zone via a CH-47 Chinook helicopter, sticking to the grounded military realism the series is known for.

One standout element is the “destructive ring” mechanic, made from a mysterious compound called NXC. The specifics of what NXC is or its lore aren’t clear yet, but it could act like a deadly closing zone to push players together over time.

This is one of many leaks from Battlefield Labs, EA’s extensive testing environment meant to avoid another Battlefield 2042 situation. So far, testers have leaked a new drag mechanic, better in-game movement, 3D maps, and destruction features.

Players who’ve tried the build are reportedly giving positive feedback, which is a good sign for the franchise’s future.

Now, even though leaks are spreading fast, EA and DICE haven’t revealed an official launch date for Battlefield 6. Based on EA’s last financial report, the game is expected to launch by the end of March 2026.

With internal playtests still underway and footage leaking frequently, it’s clear the team is deep in development.
