Casey Edwards, the person who created music for Devil May Cry 5, dropped a hint on his Twitter that he might be making more music for the series. Some people think he might be working on the anime, but maybe not as much because the anime is already in progress.

Devil May Cry 5 Composer Maybe Returning

Devil May Cry 5 came out in 2019 and did really well. People loved the cool music in the game. By January 2023, it sold 6.5 million copies. Now, there’s going to be more Devil May Cry. Netflix shared that they’re making a new Devil May Cry anime and we might also have a new Devil May Cry game in the pipeline.

Casey Edwards, as mentioned above, hinted on Twitter that he might be making more music for the series. He posted on Twitter/X asking, “What if I were to write more Devil May Cry music?” This has made fans think he could be working on a new project related to Devil May Cry. 

It’s not clear if it’s for a new game by Capcom, as there’s no sign they are working on one. It’s more likely related to the upcoming Netflix anime based on Devil May Cry, as music for games is usually made when the game is well into development. So, the hint probably refers to the anime.

It’s awesome that Casey Edwards might be making music for Devil May Cry again. He composed amazing songs like Devil Trigger and Bury the Light for the fifth game. He’s also known for making music for games like Mortal Kombat 1 and Exoprimal, as well as the animated TV show Final Space. The cool music is just one of the reasons why Devil May Cry 5 is so good. 

With regards to a new Devil May Cry game, Capcom is said to be working on many new games, and there are rumors about Resident Evil 9 and the next Monster Hunter. They haven’t announced a new Devil May Cry game yet.

After Dragon’s Dogma 2 releases, Hideaki Itsuno and his team might likely start working on the next Devil May Cry game featuring characters like Dante, Nero, and Vergil.
