Silent Hill 2 Born From a Wish Could Be Returning
Silent Hill fans might be getting another trip into the fog soon. According to industry insider Dusk Golem, a DLC for the Silent Hill 2 Remake is reportedly in development, and it could bring back the beloved Born From a Wish storyline.
This extra scenario originally appeared in the re-releases of the original game and focused on Maria’s mysterious background before the main game events began.
Dusk Golem posted on social media that the chances of this DLC being announced soon are “VERY high.” He claims Bloober Team started working on it even before the Silent Hill 2 Remake officially launched. While the team remained silent on it for months, the project is apparently still very much alive and may even launch by the end of 2025.
What Is Born From a Wish?
For those unfamiliar, Born From a Wish is a short but important storyline from the original Silent Hill 2 re-releases. It gave players a new perspective by letting them control Maria in her own eerie journey before she meets James. The story helped expand her character and added emotional depth to the overall game.
Its absence from the remake surprised fans, but it now looks like Bloober Team saved it for DLC.
