Stellar Blade PC port in the works?

New job postings on the recruitment page of Shift Up have now fanned speculations over a Stellar Blade PC port.

Spotted by eagle-eyed fans on Reddit, these listings have dropped a strong hint that the game might land on PC sooner than expected. One of those job postings is for a Combat Designer working on PC skill design and data work, which further gave the reason to believe that Shift Up is already actively preparing the PC version.

Though Shift Up has not commented on a PC port, its CEO, Kim Hyung-Tae, did hint at the fact earlier, saying they could not comment due to “contractual relationships.” This game had enjoyed robust sales during the estimated sale of 1 million units as of June 2023, so this could have pushed them to consider a PC version.

Future Content and Stellar Blade DLC

Apart from the PC porting, the job listings suggest new content for Stellar Blade.

Another position on Shift Up’s recruitment page is of a Battle Designer who will be in charge of monster creation, which includes the design of monster skills and AI. Looking ahead, this indicates that new monsters are being created that will be introduced into the title at some point in the near future, probably as DLC or even a sequel.

It should be noted that past information in the roadmap for Stellar Blade from Shift Up had suggested future content, and now these job postings seem to confirm new monsters and other features on their way.

Stellar Blade’s Success

Well, the fact that PlayStation has been trending in releasing PC versions of its popular titles, very much like the warmly received PC version of Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, implies Stellar Blade is not out of place if it were to follow suit.

Stellar Blade was released in April 2024 and is now available on PlayStation 5, and the reception of this title is pretty decent. So, with the potential for a PC port along with new content, fans can get excited about what’s ahead.
