Assassin’s Creed Red was first revealed back in 2022. No release date has been given yet, but Ubisoft has stated that it will be “the biggest blockbuster for 2024.” The game is likely to be released in either October or November next year.
It is unconfirmed which platforms Assassin’s Creed Red will launch on, but it will likely bypass the previous generation of consoles. This means we can expect the game to launch on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
The Game Awards is right around the corner and is set to be the biggest night of the year for the gaming industry. With Assassin’s Creed Red being rumored for a 2024 release, it is possible that we could see a new trailer for the game at The Game Awards.
The Assassin’s Creed series is known for taking players across the world in many different periods. Although not confirmed by Ubisoft, it does seem that Assassin’s Creed Red will be set in Ancient Japan, which has long been highly requested by fans.
Traditionally, Assassin’s Creed has usually featured male protagonists. However, Assassin’s Creed Red will feature a female Shinobi protagonist called Naoe Fujibayashi. She will start the game as the enemy of the male protagonist but throughout the story, the two will become allies and work together.
For the first time, one of the protagonists will be a real person, based on a real-life African Samurai called Yasuke. It is also possible that Assassin’s Creed Red could launch on PS Plus or Xbox Game Pass, although extremely unlikely. However, it will launch on day one as part of Ubisoft’s own Ubisoft+ service on PC.
