Asus ROG Ally Might Get a Successor Later  This Year

Asus India VP of consumer and gaming PCs, Arnold Su, has indicated that the company is already working on a successor to the ROG Ally handheld gaming PC.

The company is planning a second-generation release of the ROG Ally later this year. The focus will be more on gaming while still keeping the Windows features.

Between 70,000 and 80,000 units of the ROG Ally were sold in India. The Indian market had more early adopters for the ROG Ally than countries with more developed gaming PC markets.

The Asus ROG Ally was launched back in 2023 with a price tag of $699.

Compared to other handheld gaming PCs like the Steam Deck, the ROG Ally features more powerful specs and runs on Windows 11. This allows it to support services like Game Pass, as well as different launchers and anti-cheat systems.

With the announcement of a successor, fans and users of the ROG Ally can look forward to enhanced gaming features and possibly more powerful specs in the next iteration.
