Genshin Impact has announced their newest 5-star character, Cloud Retainer, also known as Xianyun. She is set to release in Version 4.4, following the release of the new Geo Character Navia in Version 4.3.
Cloud Retainer is an Anemo element character who wields a Catalyst weapon. She is a support type unit, focusing on supporting characters with Plunging attacks. This could mean that we might finally be getting a dedicated support for Xiao.
In the story, Cloud Retainer takes on the form of a crane, which could hint at some interesting features when it comes to exploring with her.
With Version 4.3 launching on December 18th, we can expect Version 4.4, featuring Cloud Retainer, to release around the end of January. This version will cover the Japanese New Year and the Lantern Rite Festival, one of the most famous events in Genshin Impact.
Cloud Retainer is expected to appear as a Limited 5-star Character in the First Phase of Version 4.4, likely launching at the end of January on January 31st. Players will be able to pull for her and her weapon on the Limited Banner for approximately 3 weeks.
With still over a month until the end of January, players have plenty of time to save Primogems for Cloud Retainer
