The ‘Florida Joker’, real name Lawrence Sullivan, has issued a “final warning” to Rockstar Games, demanding $5 million in payment over his likeness in the Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer.
Since the release of the highly-anticipated GTA 6 trailer on December 4, 2023, Sullivan has been hitting out at Rockstar over his parodied appearance in the game.
Sullivan has made several demands to Rockstar through clips on TikTok. It started with a request for communication but soon escalated to a demand for millions of dollars in payment over their GTA 6 likeness.
After various TikToks and no response from the developers, Sullivan has now issued his “final warning,” along with a demand for Rockstar to pay $5 million to stop further legal action.
Sullivan explained that discussions had been held with lawyers and a letter has been sent to Rockstar. If there’s no response by January 11, he plans to take legal action. He claims to be getting harassed everywhere he goes due to his likeness in the game.
It is not known if Rockstar has been in contact with Sullivan over the dispute or what role, if any, the Florida Joker lookalike will have in the game when it’s released. GTA 6 is set to release in 2025 on current-generation consoles, such as PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
