The highly anticipated Version 4.4 update for Genshin Impact is set to introduce new characters, weapons, events, and map expansions, promising to kick off 2024 with exciting new content for players.
While not officially confirmed, credible leaks suggest that the 4.4 update will likely launch on January 31, 2024, coinciding with the Lunar New Year and the return of Liyue’s Lantern Rite festival.
Two new 5-star characters, the ethereal adeptus Xianyun and the formidable yaksha, Xiao, are set to debut in 4.4. The 4-star roster will also expand with the addition of the fiery brawler, Gaming.
Accompanying the new characters are their signature 5-star weapons. Xianyun will wield the Echo of the Crane’s Call catalyst, and Xiao will receive the Primordial Jade Winged-Spear.
Version 4.4 will introduce an expansion to Liyue with the new rural area of Qiaoying Village, adding more places for travelers to explore.
The highlight of 4.4 will be the return of the Lantern Rite festival, with leaks suggesting an extravagant gala with minigames, quests, and the chance to earn a free 4-star Liyue character.
