Light No Fire is the latest offering from Hello Games, announced at the 2023 Game Awards. The studio is known for its controversial launches, including No Man’s Sky.
The only confirmed platform for Light No Fire so far is PC. While there’s no concrete release date yet, the game’s store page is already active on Steam.
Hello Games revealed they had been secretly working on Light No Fire for the past 5 years, suggesting it may be further along in its development cycle than No Man’s Sky was at its unveiling.
The gameplay shown at the Game Awards was confirmed to be real in-game multiplayer footage, adding to the suspicion that the game may be further along in development.
Considering the time committed to the project and the quality of the gameplay trailer, a winter 2024 release date seems entirely possible.
While there’s no confirmed release date for Light No Fire on console, it’s unlikely that it will remain restricted to PC given No Man’s Sky’s release for both PS4 and Xbox One. Expect Light No Fire to release for PS5 and Xbox Series S/X alongside PC when the time comes.
