Arkane Lyon is working on Marvel’s Blade, an exciting new Xbox game that brings players into the world of Eric Brooks, the iconic day-walking vampire slayer. However, rumors suggest it could be at least 4 years away.
Following the surprise reveal of Marvel’s Blade at The Game Awards, speculation around the game’s content and its supposed Xbox exclusive-status is rife.
According to GamesBeat’s Jeff Grubb, Arkane Lyon is reportedly targeting a release date in 2027 for Marvel’s Blade.
This will mark 6 years between Arkane Lyon’s last project, Deathloop, which proved to be a critically acclaimed hit. The developer is known for creating engaging games like the Dishonored franchise and Deathloop.
Arkane Lyon is bringing a different spin to Blade, setting the action in Paris, rather than the expected notion of New York City. The game will be a third-person action-adventure title.
While the wait for Marvel’s Blade might seem long, there are other superhero adventures to get invested in, such as Spider-Man 2 and the upcoming Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League.
