Japanese retailer Meccha Japan has preemptively listed the unannounced Nintendo Switch 2 console with a 2024 release window.

The mentioned release date is December 31, 2024, which is usually considered a placeholder until the actual release date has been announced.

The release year of 2024 for Nintendo’s next console is likely to be accurate, as retailers are usually informed in advance in this regard by the manufacturer.

Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa stated that the company’s focus for the current financial year ending in March, 2024, is the Switch, implying that the Switch successor will become the primary focus for Nintendo heading into the year 2024.
