As the new year begins, Sony is likely looking to show off what fans can expect on the PS5 through a State of Play. However, a State of Play has not been announced yet, leaving fans wondering when new information will drop.
A rumor has started circulating from a trusted source that states the first State of Play in 2024 will happen in just a few weeks.
A new State of Play may arrive in the next few weeks, potentially as early as late January or early February. This was rumored by Jeff Grubb from Giantbomb during the Giant Bombcast.
The State of Play will likely give more information on upcoming games in Q1 and Q2 of 2024. Whether it is first or third party remains to be seen, but details of soon-to-launch games may be presented.
While we currently do not know what could be presented during the PlayStation State of Play, there are a few possible ideas. These include an in-depth preview of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, a deep dive into Helldivers 2, a preview of Pacific Drive, more Rise of the Ronin details, and details of Star Wars: Dark Forces Remastered.
The above are not officially confirmed and are just speculations of what could be shown during the PlayStation State of Play. However, as the event would take place just before February, the timeline would add up so that we can see more information on third-party titles that launch during that month.
