The first Pokemon GO Community Day of 2024 is set for January 6, from 2 to 5 PM local time.
The Grass/Flying-type starter Rowlet from the Alola region will be the featured Pokemon. The event marks the debut of Shiny Rowlet.
Evolving Dartrix to Decidueye during the event will teach it the Charged Attack Frenzy Plant and Spirit Shackle as an event-exclusive move.
Special 4-star Dartrix raids will occur for 5 hours after the main event, triggering increased Rowlet spawns around that gym for 30 minutes.
Usual Community Day bonuses will be active. Event Field Research focused on Rowlet will offer further rewards. A $1 USD Special Research story ticket will also be available for purchase.
Players should stock up on balls and bag space beforehand. Using incense, lures, and star pieces during the event will maximize spawns and bonuses. Trading Rowlets will cost 50% less Stardust during the bonus hours.
