A new leak offers detailed specs of the rumored PS5 Pro console, fueling fan excitement over the potential upgrade to the standard PS5.
Previously, numerous rumors and leaks suggested that a smaller-sized 1TB version of the PS5 was in the works. Sony officially unveiled the PS5 Slim at $499 for the disc edition and $449 for the digital version.
The rumored PS5 Pro is said to ship as a hardware refresh to the current console generation, similar to how the PS4 Pro served the PS4.

The console will also feature XDNA2 NPU, an updated architecture announced by AMD with a focus on AI. The PlayStation maker is expecting a September 2024 reveal, a couple of months preceding its rumored launch.
Sony isn’t the only console maker set to release an updated console. A document leak revealed that there’s a possible hardware refresh to the Xbox Series X in the works.
