Skate is set to be released on Steam, marking the first time the series is coming to PC. This was confirmed in a new post on Skate’s official Twitter feed.
Console testing for Skate is planned for this year. While it does not confirm a release window, it hints at a potential launch date for the game.
Fans are speculating that the Skate sequel could launch in late 2024 or early 2025. The developers will need enough time to prepare and market the game after console testing is complete.
EA’s FAQ confirmed that the game is coming to PlayStation and Xbox. There are also plans for a mobile release.
Skate will conduct a six-week playtest for PC, delivered via the EA app, starting on February 8th. Despite being under an NDA, some leaks may still appear in the coming weeks, including a full gallery of artwork and a reconstructed version of the entire Skate map.
Although Skate development is moving slowly, the playtests and Steam announcement signal a smooth launch and comprehensive game. The upcoming game is expected to be the most accessible and ambitious installment yet.
