Bethesda has confirmed a delay to what it’s billing as Starfield’s biggest update yet, which was originally due to be released in Steam beta.
An issue was discovered that Bethesda wants to address before releasing the update into the Steam Beta. The new release date will be confirmed later.
The update, featuring over 100 fixes and improvements, will include a large number of quest fixes. Issues such as being unable to dock with the Legacy or data transfer not starting, and Temples not showing up in Into the Unknown, will be addressed.
The update promises to bring stability improvements and numerous graphic improvements ranging from additional widescreen support to improved textures, lighting, and shadows.
Additional fixes will include sun disk geometry, planet ring shadows, bulldozed objects reappearing when returning to an Outpost, ship hatches marked inaccessible, and a fix for asteroids following ships.
Bethesda recently announced plans to roll out significant new features and fixes for Starfield every six weeks or so. Major new features in the works include city maps, new ways of travelling and mod support.
