The next game in the EA Originals line of ‘indie’ titles is reportedly called Tales of Kenzera: ZAU, as leaked by Dealabs user billbil-kun.
The game will be developed by Surgent Studios, a UK-based transmedia studio that signed a deal with EA back in March 2021.
Tales of Kenzera: ZAU is said to be a 2.5D side-scrolling adventure platformer, similar to the Trine games. The protagonist is a young character with magical powers on his head and fists.
The game’s announcement is expected soon, with a release date planned for April 23, 2024. The game is set to cost $17.99 / £16.19.
Although not officially confirmed, it seems likely that Tales of Kenzera: ZAU will be revealed at The Game Awards this week.
Abubakar Salim, the founder of Surgent Studios and a BAFTA-nominated actor and producer, teased on his account that big news is coming this week.
